Communication Outage Interrupts NASA’s MAVEN Mission Around Mars

NASA is working to restore communications with its MAVEN spacecraft after an unexpected outage prevented contact with the orbiter in early December. The spacecraft, which has been circling Mars for more than a decade, plays a critical role in studying the planet’s upper atmosphere and supporting relay operations for surface missions.
